Latin Heel | Performance Glossary
A Latin heel is a specialized dance heel used in Latin ballroom disciplines — Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive. It features a flared or slightly block-shaped heel of 2"–3" that provides stability during the weight transfers and hip movements characteristic of Latin dance.

Latin heels are always soled with suede for controlled gliding on dance floors. Never wear them on outdoor surfaces — the suede sole will be destroyed immediately.
