How to Measure Your Feet

For the most accurate fit, measure your feet at the end of the day when they are at their largest. You'll need a ruler or tape measure, a piece of paper, and a pen.

Step 1 — Trace your foot

Place a piece of paper on a hard floor. Stand on it with your full weight and trace the outline of your foot with a pen held vertically (not angled). Repeat for both feet — most people have one foot slightly larger than the other.

Step 2 — Measure foot length

Measure from the back of your heel to the tip of your longest toe (usually the big toe, but not always). Record this measurement in centimeters.

Step 3 — Measure foot width

Measure across the widest part of your foot — typically across the ball of the foot. This helps determine if you need a wide or narrow fit.

Step 4 — Use the larger measurement

Always size based on your larger foot. Use the CM column in the chart above to find your size, then cross-reference with your preferred sizing system (US, UK, or EU).

Fit Tips for Performance Heels

Size up for boots

Boots — especially thigh-high and knee-high styles — often run slightly narrow through the toe box. If you're between sizes, size up. You can always add an insole for a snugger fit.

Consider toe box shape

Pointed toe styles require more length allowance than round or square toe styles. If you normally wear a 7 in a round-toe shoe, you may need a 7.5 in a pointed-toe style.

Account for wide feet

Performance heels are typically cut for a standard width. If you have wide feet, sizing up by half a size often provides enough room across the ball of the foot without sacrificing heel fit.

Break-in allowance

New heels — particularly patent and synthetic styles — will stretch slightly with wear. A snug (not painful) fit at purchase is normal. Avoid ordering a size up to compensate for break-in, as this can cause heel slippage during performance.
