The Four Categories of Dance Performance Footwear
1. Pole Dance Heels

2. Latin and Ballroom Heels

3. Platform Heels (Stage and Performance)

Universal Performance Footwear Rules
- Match the sole to the discipline: Rubber for pole and stage. Suede/leather for Latin and ballroom.
- Progress height gradually: Build ankle strength before increasing heel height.
- Fit precisely: No heel slippage, no cramped toes, ankle strap flat against the ankle.
- Train in what you perform in: Never perform in footwear you haven't trained in.
